I’m an Orange County girl born and raised who does everything a normal girl in her 20′s does…shop…eat..work etc.., but I do it all animal cruelty free. Becoming vegan was a pretty gradual process that has changed my life for the better in so many ways. Fashion and beauty have become so much more fun because it is all guilt free..anyone with half a brain cell knows by now the horrors that take place behind the scenes to make leather boots, or to test a lot of cosmetic brands..and anyone with half a conscience should carry a little shame in the fact that something was brutalized for their suede boots. I don’t dress like a hippy (not that it’s bad if you do, just not my style) because I don’t want to wear a baby cow on my foot..I just shop more consciously and enjoy seeking out man made stuff. I don’t avoid restaurants because they have meat on the menu, I just work around the meat and figure out what I CAN eat there…instead of always noting what I CAN’T eat.
I’m a volunteer at the animal shelter here in Orange and can’t stress enough for everyone to take a look around here before ever buying a pet from a breeder or pet shop. If you would like any more information or help while thinking of adopoting please always feel free to just ask. For more info on the shelter you can click here –> www.OCpetinfo.com
For all my health reasons for becoming vegan, check out the “Why Vegan” section..you’ll be happy you did.
Being vegan is an amazing, healthy, kind, fun way to live. Try some of my recipes, and read some of my product reviews…I promise you’ll enjoy it.

Hi, I wanted to make you aware of Hoosier Momma’s Bloody Mary Maker, which is the first mass-produced vegan and gluten-free bloody mary mix on the market.
Hoosier Momma’s Bloody Mary Maker contains a special recipe featuring Indiana grown tomatoes and locally grown red savina chilis, as well as special ingredients which allows it to be vegan and gluten-free without sacrificing any of the taste.
Since launching in May, Hoosier Momma’s was named “Best of the Best” among Indianapolis’ Top 80 Restaurants competing at the Indianapolis Zoo’s Zoobilation event in June.
Hoosier Momma’s was also among the 23% that was selected by a jury to be featured in the Indiana Artisian Development Program.
Hoosier Momma’s Bloody Mary Maker is currently available at retailers and restaurants in Indiana, and Hoosier Momma is aggressively looking to expand nationwide.
If you could share this with you blog and facebook/Twitter folowers, that would be great! For more information, go to http://www.hoosiermomma.com.
Thanks!
Stephen

So, after watching Food, Inc., my OCD has kicked into full gear and I’m having a hell of a time trying to find organic products. (By the way, regular almond butter $4.99; organic almond butter $20 fu&#!n bucks. geesus.) Do the local Farmer’s Markets carry meat or only fruits and veggies? Any ideas on where to to get organic chicken? Is there anything else I should look for on the label? Is there a support group for people that are hypervigilant about everything in the world?
